The Company is seeking an Assistant VP & Controller to serve as the financial liaison between the corporate accounting department and field operations. The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring compliance with accounting, payroll, and personnel policies, as well as managing the staff and processes for the Major Projects finance and shared services hub. This role involves overseeing the full cycle of new projects, from the bidding stage to completion, and requires a strong background in financial and accounting functions, including budgeting, forecasting, and financial reporting. Applicants must have a Bachelor’s degree in finance or accounting, with a CPA being a plus, and a minimum of 7 years of senior-level finance or accounting experience. The role demands a deep knowledge of financial, accounting, budgeting, and cost control principles, as well as experience with automated financial and accounting reporting systems. The ideal candidate will have a working knowledge of percentage-of-completion accounting for construction contracts, and general knowledge of HR practices and laws. Key skills include the ability to analyze financial data, prepare reports, and manage multiple projects within tight timeframes. The Assistant VP & Controller will also be involved in staff training, performance evaluations, and must possess strong interpersonal and communication skills.
