Associate Vice President, Commercial Loan Supervisor

The Company is seeking an AVP, Commercial Loan Supervisor to lead a team of commercial lending assistants and associates. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing the daily administrative workflow that supports the origination of various commercial loans, including commercial real estate, commercial and industrial, construction, and small business administration loans. This role involves working closely with lenders to ensure the smooth progression of the loan pipeline from documentation to closing and onto loan servicing. The Supervisor will also serve as a key liaison among different departments to ensure a coordinated lending process and a positive experience for borrowers. Additionally, the role includes developing and maintaining policies and procedures related to commercial loan functions and fostering the professional growth of team members through training, coaching, and mentoring. Applicants for the AVP, Commercial Loan Supervisor position at the company should have a minimum of 5 years' of experience in commercial loan administration, documentation, or closing, with a preference for those who have prior supervisory or team leadership experience. A degree in business, finance, or a related field is preferred, but equivalent and relevant work experience will be considered. The ideal candidate will have a strong working knowledge of commercial loan structures, documentation, collateral, and closing requirements, as well as experience with loan operating systems and core banking systems. Essential skills include strong organizational abilities, the capacity to manage competing priorities, and a borrower-centric mindset. The role requires a candidate with excellent written and verbal communication skills, attention to detail, and the ability to coach employees and resolve operational problems.
