The successful candidate will be responsible for leading the delivery of the technology, data, and innovation strategy, enhancing IT operations, and driving the adoption of AI across the business. Strong commercial judgement, excellent stakeholder engagement, and the ability to manage competing priorities in a fast-moving environment are essential. Candidates for the Head of Data and Technology role at the company should be highly engaging, commercially minded, and capable of operating at both strategic and practical levels. Tertiary qualifications in IT, data science, business, or related fields are required, along with senior leadership experience in technology, IT, data, or digital transformation. The role demands a leader with a broad enterprise technology and business systems background, strong vendor management skills, and a solid understanding of cybersecurity, technology risk, and governance. Experience in developing and executing technology roadmaps, as well as a strong understanding of data strategy, governance, and analytics, is also necessary. While not essential, experience in the sporting or AFL industry is advantageous.
