The Company is seeking a Head of Retail to join its team. The successful candidate will be responsible for leading and developing the retail operation, with a focus on maximizing income, profitability, and brand awareness. This role involves providing strategic leadership across a multi-site retail operation, including charity shops, e-commerce, and donated goods activities. The Head of Retail will be a key member of the Leadership Team, supporting the company's long-term sustainability, growth, and strategic direction. The ideal candidate will have significant senior-level retail experience, a strong commercial mindset, and a genuine understanding of charity retail. Key responsibilities include developing and delivering a retail growth strategy, identifying new opportunities, and ensuring the retail operation makes a significant contribution to the company's wider objectives. The role also requires leading, motivating, and developing retail managers, staff, and volunteers to create a high-performing, customer-focused culture. Experience in e-commerce, online marketplaces, property acquisition, and shop development is advantageous. The Head of Retail will be expected to have strong commercial and financial management skills, excellent communication, and stakeholder management abilities, as well as a strong understanding of customer experience, merchandising, and retail best practices.
