Vice President of Finance Greater Buffalo, NY Area

The Company is seeking a Vice President of Finance to join their organization. The successful candidate will be responsible for leading the finance function, which includes overseeing accounting, financial planning and analysis, treasury, reporting, and internal controls. This senior executive will play a key role in executive decision-making, influencing the organization's long-term financial direction, and ensuring that financial data is effectively translated into business insights. The role demands a commercially focused leader with a strong understanding of financial management, capable of turning financial data into clear business insights that guide investment decisions, and support operational performance. Key responsibilities for the Vice President of Finance include directing all financial operations, working closely with operational leadership to enhance profitability, and establishing and executing financial strategies. The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 10 years' experience in finance or accounting, with at least 5 years in a senior financial leadership position, and a Bachelor's degree in a related field. They should have a comprehensive understanding of US GAAP, strong background in financial reporting, budget management, forecasting, and internal controls, and excellent analytical and communication skills. A CPA, CMA, MBA, or comparable advanced professional qualification is preferred, as is experience in capital investments, mergers, and acquisitions, or other strategic business transactions. The role requires a candidate with a proven track record of managing and developing finance teams, as well as the ability to provide executive leadership with financial guidance on a range of business matters.
