Managing Director, Investment Grade Trader

Greater Charlotte, NC Area (Hybrid)
The Company is in search of a seasoned Director/Managing Director, Investment Grade Trader to join its Sales & Trading team. The successful candidate will be responsible for providing liquidity to institutional clients, managing trading inventory and market risk, and developing sector expertise. This role requires a professional with a minimum of 10 years' experience in investment-grade trading or a closely related credit markets role, and a deep understanding of investment-grade market structure, pricing, liquidity, and spread products. The role also involves close collaboration with sales, syndicate, and debt capital markets to enhance the fixed-income franchise. Key responsibilities for the Director/Managing Director, Investment Grade Trader include owning and actively managing investment-grade trading risk, making markets, and providing real-time market color and pricing intelligence. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record of generating P&L through disciplined risk management and market insight, as well as the ability to balance client facilitation, risk management, and firm profitability. Strong communication skills are essential, and the candidate must hold or be able to promptly obtain Series 7 and 63 licenses. The role also involves mentoring and developing junior traders and maintaining strict adherence to regulatory and internal risk management requirements.
