The Company is in search of a Chief Development Officer (CDO) to play a pivotal role in the organization's growth and evolution. The CDO will be a key member of the executive leadership team, working closely with the President, CEO, Board, and senior leaders to lead the fundraising strategy and development team. This includes a strong focus on expanding major and principal gifts, enhancing foundation and corporate relationships, and growing individual giving. The successful candidate will be highly strategic and relationship-oriented, personally cultivating and soliciting donors, managing key relationships, and engaging Board members as ambassadors and fundraisers. The CDO will also be instrumental in translating the company's research, policy, and programmatic work into a compelling case for support, and will help shape how philanthropy can support and amplify the impact of the organization's broader network. Applicants for the CDO position at the company should have a proven track record in fundraising, with a particular emphasis on major and principal gifts. The role requires a strategic thinker with the ability to translate complex work into a compelling narrative for donors. Experience in strengthening foundation and corporate relationships, as well as growing individual giving, is essential. The ideal candidate will be a strong leader, capable of building and managing a development team, and will have a deep understanding of the philanthropic landscape. A background in a related field, such as nonprofit management, social work, or public policy, is a plus. The CDO must be a passionate advocate for the mission of the organization and be able to work effectively in a dynamic, evolving environment.
