Executive Director of Schools

The Company is seeking an Executive Director of Schools to coach, manage, and develop principals so they can improve school outcomes. The role is accountable for results across a portfolio of schools, using regular coaching cycles, observations, feedback, and performance management to strengthen leadership practice. Responsibilities include analyzing school and leader performance, setting measurable improvement plans, monitoring progress, and adjusting support based on results. The Executive Director will also advocate for schools, coordinate network resources, facilitate principal learning and professional development, and provide direct support during critical situations. Candidates must have at least three years of experience as a principal, with documented results in student achievement, school performance, attendance, and staff retention. They should be skilled in coaching adults in instructional walkthroughs, lesson rehearsal, and student work analysis, and have strong data analysis abilities. Experience building and managing systems that improve practice and outcomes across multiple schools or teams is required, along with a willingness to spend most of the workweek in schools. A master’s degree in educational leadership or a related field is preferred.
