Head of Legal

The Company is seeking a Head of Legal to join its dynamic team. The successful candidate will be the most senior lawyer in the group, with a hands-on role that includes leading and managing all legal aspects of the company's diverse portfolio. This is a unique opportunity to shape the legal foundations of the group, with direct access to the CEO and Board. The Head of Legal will be responsible for a wide range of tasks, from leading transactions such as acquisitions, disposals, mergers, and joint ventures, to setting up the legal, risk, and compliance function. The role also involves acting as an adviser on corporate, commercial, and regulatory matters, and building a group compliance framework across different jurisdictions. Applicants must be qualified as a solicitor or barrister in England & Wales, or in another common law jurisdiction, with at least 15 years' of post-qualification experience in corporate and commercial law, particularly in M&A and cross-border investment. Essential skills include a proven track record in leading transactions, working knowledge of UK and UAE law, and experience in managing legal matters across multiple jurisdictions. The ideal candidate will have strong drafting and negotiation skills, sound judgment, and the ability to build and lead a legal team. Desirable experience includes a previous role as General Counsel or Head of Legal in a similar business environment and post-acquisition integration experience.
