Interim Executive Director, Laboratory Greater Fresno, CA Area

The Company is seeking an Executive Director of Laboratory to provide strategic, clinical, and operational leadership across laboratory services in acute care and ambulatory settings. The role will establish and execute a systemwide vision focused on standardization, integration, quality, and performance. In partnership with clinical and operational stakeholders, the Executive Director will strengthen regulatory readiness and support evidence-based practices and emerging technologies. Responsibilities also include overseeing financial performance, capital planning, resource utilization, and operational metrics, while developing laboratory leaders and fostering accountability and continuous improvement. Candidates must hold a bachelor’s degree in a science field and have at least eight years of progressive laboratory leadership experience, including significant responsibility for multi-site or system-level operations. A Clinical Laboratory Scientist (CLS) credential or equivalent is required. The ideal candidate brings the expertise to lead complex laboratory operations, advance quality outcomes, and support evolving care models and organizational priorities.
