Interim Vice President, Corporate Counsel Greater Houston, TX Area

The Company is seeking a part-time Vice President, Corporate Counsel to serve as a senior legal advisor and business partner to leadership. The role will help shape legal strategy, manage risk, and oversee compliance while supporting business objectives. Responsibilities include advising on corporate transactions, subsidiary governance, investigations, audits, and policy development, as well as partnering with finance and other functions. The successful candidate will also lead legal team members, manage outside counsel, and improve legal processes and performance. Candidates must hold a Juris Doctor from an accredited law school, maintain an active Texas law license, and have at least 10 years of legal experience; a mix of law firm and in-house work is preferred. Significant experience advising senior leaders, handling complex legal matters, and working in a highly regulated industry is required. Strong business judgment, communication, project management, and leadership skills are essential, along with the ability to balance legal risk and commercial goals. Experience with compliance leadership, public company reporting, government contracts, or international operations is preferred.
