Senior Vice President, Senior Credit Officer, CRE & Construction Lending

Greater Kansas City, MO Area (Hybrid - Headquarter location)
The Company is seeking an SVP, Senior Credit Officer for Commercial Real Estate and Construction Lending. The successful candidate will be responsible for providing leadership, governance, and oversight of the commercial credit portfolio, with a primary focus on construction and development lending. This role involves overseeing credit risk management, underwriting standards, portfolio quality, policy administration, and credit approval processes. The SVP, Senior Credit Officer will also be a key member of the leadership team, working closely with executive leadership to support profitable growth while maintaining disciplined credit risk management practices. Applicants must have a minimum of 15 years of commercial banking experience with a focus on CRE and construction, and at least 10 years of credit leadership experience. The role requires deep expertise in underwriting, portfolio management, and risk governance, as well as experience with CECL, stress testing, and concentration risk. Strong communication and presentation skills are essential, along with a proven track record of working with regulators, audits, and Board-level reporting. The ideal candidate will be adept at developing and maintaining credit risk frameworks, monitoring key risk indicators, and ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements and internal policies. Leadership and development skills are also a key requirement, as the role involves mentoring and fostering a strong credit culture within the organization.
