The Company is seeking a General Counsel to serve as its senior legal executive and strategic advisor to executive leadership and the board. The role leads legal strategy and oversees governance, mergers and acquisitions, commercial contracts, regulatory compliance, risk management, litigation, employment matters, and privacy and cybersecurity issues. Responsibilities include advising on complex transactions, managing internal and external legal resources, overseeing licensing and compliance programs, and developing practical solutions that support business objectives while protecting the organization. The General Counsel will also lead, mentor, and develop the legal team. Candidates must hold a Juris Doctor from an ABA-accredited law school and an active license in good standing in at least one U.S. jurisdiction. A minimum of 10 years of relevant legal experience is required, including significant in-house legal leadership or equivalent senior law firm experience. Insurance industry experience is required, along with experience overseeing transactions, litigation, employment matters, regulatory compliance, and commercial agreements. Strong business judgment, executive communication, negotiation, analytical, organizational, and team leadership skills are essential.
