Vice President, Finance & Controller Greater Los Angeles, CA Area

The Company is seeking a VP, Finance & Controller to oversee the financial statement function, including general ledger, cash flow, accounts payable, and sub-capitation preparation and analysis. The successful candidate will be responsible for developing and achieving departmental goals, ensuring compliance with budgets and financial objectives, and maintaining operational efficiency through the implementation of departmental policies and procedures. This role involves the timely and accurate preparation of financial statements, cash flow reports, and account reconciliations, as well as managing the accounts payable function and sub-capitation obligations. The VP, Finance & Controller will also be tasked with establishing and maintaining strong professional relationships to support effective communication and collaboration on financial matters. Applicants must have a minimum of 10 years' of experience in healthcare accounting, with at least 5 years' in an accounting management role within the healthcare industry. A Bachelor's degree in accounting or a related discipline is required, along with advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Access, and extensive knowledge of general ledger systems, accounting applications, and financial reporting processes. The role demands strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills, as well as the ability to work on-site full-time. The VP, Finance & Controller will be expected to coordinate and complete special projects as assigned and to ensure the effective and efficient operation of all financial departments.
