Vice President of Development

The Company is seeking a Vice President of Development to lead and grow its fundraising program. The role will develop and execute a comprehensive strategy to diversify philanthropic revenue, strengthen donor relationships, and build a sustainable fundraising pipeline. Responsibilities include leading major gifts, foundation and corporate partnerships, annual giving, grants, planned giving, and special events; engaging the Board in fundraising; and representing the organization to donors and community partners. The Vice President will also build and develop the fundraising team, strengthen development operations and donor data systems, and collaborate across teams on storytelling, financial forecasting, and reporting. Candidates must have a bachelor’s degree and at least 10 years of progressive nonprofit fundraising or development experience, including five or more years in senior leadership; a master’s degree in a related field is preferred. They should have a record of leading multimillion-dollar fundraising efforts, securing significant gifts, developing diversified revenue strategies, and building major-gifts programs and effective teams. Strong financial acumen, experience with fundraising metrics and donor management systems, and the ability to guide teams through organizational change are required. The ideal candidate brings strategic judgment, executive presence, emotional intelligence, a collaborative hands-on leadership style, and a commitment to educational equity and expanding opportunities for students.
