Vice President of Human Resources Greater Madison, WI Area

The Company is seeking a Vice President of Human Resources to shape and execute people strategy for a multi-site manufacturing operation. As a member of the executive leadership team, this leader will align talent initiatives with business objectives, lead and develop the HR team, and strengthen recruitment, retention, culture, and leadership development. Responsibilities include reducing workforce turnover, establishing compensation and benefits strategies, advising leaders on employee relations, and ensuring HR policies and practices meet employment requirements. The role also oversees workforce planning, training and development, HR systems and reporting, internal communications, and the HR department budget. Candidates should have a bachelor’s degree in human resources, business, or a related field, or equivalent experience, and at least eight years of progressive HR experience with significant leadership responsibility in manufacturing. Experience supporting large, direct-labor, multi-shift workforces and managing benefits, retirement plans, broker relationships, and workers’ compensation is important. Applicants should bring strong knowledge of employment law, strategic leadership, workforce planning, data-driven decision-making, communication, coaching, and relationship-building skills. Multi-site HR leadership experience is preferred; senior HR certification, experience with HR information systems, and English-Spanish bilingual ability are also preferred.
