About the Role
Greater Miami, FL Area (Hybrid)
The Company is seeking a Chief Financial Officer (CFO) to play a pivotal role in shaping the financial future of the organization. This is not a typical CFO position; the successful candidate will have the opportunity to build the financial infrastructure, influence organizational strategy, and lead a financial transformation. The CFO will be a strategic, entrepreneurial, and hands-on leader, responsible for driving financial strategy, modernizing accounting operations, and overseeing all financial aspects, including budgeting, forecasting, and financial reporting. International financial experience, particularly in Latin America, and bilingual proficiency in English and Spanish are essential for this role. The ideal CFO for the company will have a minimum of 10 years' progressive finance and accounting experience, with at least 5 years in senior nonprofit financial leadership. A CPA and/or MBA is required, along with a strong knowledge of nonprofit GAAP, restricted grants, audits, and financial compliance. The role demands a leader who can navigate international financial complexity, manage financial operations across multiple countries, and ensure the organization's financial sustainability. The CFO will also be responsible for building and developing a finance team, delivering actionable financial insights, and being a true strategic partner to the executive leadership and the Board.
