Vice President, Commercial Loan Officer

The Company is seeking a Vice President, Commercial Loan Officer to develop and manage a commercial lending portfolio. Responsibilities include building client relationships, identifying lending and deposit growth opportunities, evaluating borrower financials, and structuring financing that balances client needs with prudent risk management. The role also involves preparing and presenting credit recommendations, monitoring portfolio performance and covenant compliance, and ensuring reviews, renewals, and risk ratings are completed accurately. The successful candidate will provide guidance to branch teams and junior lenders and support clients and internal partners with commercial banking needs. Candidates should have at least five years of commercial lending experience, including portfolio development, credit management, and commercial real estate lending. Strong knowledge of commercial banking products, lending practices, and credit policies is required, along with the ability to analyze financial statements, tax returns, and global cash flow. Applicants should be skilled in presenting credit requests, communicating risk considerations, and using Microsoft Office, particularly advanced Excel. Strong communication, sound judgment, problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and the ability to manage competing priorities independently are also essential.
