Associate General Counsel

The Company is seeking an Associate General Counsel to own its commercial contracts function and support a broad range of legal matters across the business. Responsibilities include drafting, negotiating, and closing enterprise agreements; developing contract templates and negotiation guidance; managing contract reviews, vendor agreements, privacy compliance, and data governance; and advising teams on legal risks and practical solutions. The role will also build legal operations processes, identify and manage outside counsel, and partner with the General Counsel on commercial, corporate, employment, compliance, and strategic matters. Candidates must hold a JD from an accredited law school and an active state bar membership in good standing, with 4–8 years of relevant experience, including at least 2–3 years in transactional or commercial practice at a large law firm. Deep expertise in commercial contract drafting and negotiation, sound independent judgment, strong prioritization, and clear, plain-language communication are required. Preferred qualifications include in-house experience at a high-growth technology company, familiarity with SaaS and AI business models, cloud and platform agreements, and data privacy frameworks. Experience building privacy compliance programs or exposure to equity compensation, venture financing, or M&A is also beneficial.
