Associate Vice President, Underwriting & Portfolio Management (ABL / Middle Market C&I)

The Company is seeking an Associate Vice President of Underwriting and Portfolio Management to underwrite new commercial lending transactions and oversee an existing portfolio of asset-based and cash-flow lending relationships. Responsibilities include conducting due diligence on borrowers, sponsors, guarantors, collateral, industries, and market conditions; preparing credit memoranda; and presenting recommendations to credit committees. The role also involves reviewing loan documentation, monitoring financial performance and covenant compliance, completing periodic credit reviews, and identifying emerging risks with appropriate mitigation strategies. The successful candidate will maintain accurate credit files and collaborate with relationship managers and senior credit professionals to support sound lending decisions and portfolio quality. Candidates must have a bachelor’s degree in finance, accounting, economics, or a related field, along with at least five years of experience in commercial lending, credit underwriting, and portfolio management. Experience with asset-based and cash-flow lending is an advantage. Advanced proficiency in spreadsheet, word-processing, and financial-modeling tools is required. Strong communication and presentation skills are essential, including the ability to translate complex financial information into clear, actionable insights.
