Vice President, Financing Specialists Greater Ottawa, Canada Area

The Company is seeking a VP, Financing Specialists to lead a team of industry-specialized, senior financing specialists and financing specialists. The successful candidate will be responsible for contributing to the strategic business priorities by ensuring the team meets the credit needs of clients, leads the credit renewal process, and offers credit expertise. This leadership role requires a focus on enhancing client loyalty and maximizing revenue, as well as building strong partnerships both internally and externally. The VP will also be accountable for the team's performance, managing the business to achieve market and sales objectives, and ensuring an acceptable balance of risk and reward in the business portfolio. Applicants must have a minimum of 5-7 years' commercial banking experience, with a proven track record in leading and coaching professional sales teams. Strong business acumen, knowledge of the financial industry and commercial banking, and a passion for putting clients first are essential. The role demands a leader with a strong sales orientation, experience in credit management, and a deep understanding of product and pricing policies, privacy, and anti-money laundering requirements. The ideal candidate will also have experience with emerging communications and technology, and a post-secondary diploma/degree in a related field. The VP will be expected to be mobile across the markets and to leverage digital channels to drive client awareness and ensure the team is enabling clients with digital access.
