About the Role
Greater London, United Kingdom Area (Hybrid)(London, United Kingdom)
;Greater Paris, France Area (Hybrid)(Paris, France)
The Company is seeking a Portfolio Chief Technology Officer (CTO) with a strong background in senior technology leadership, particularly in the B2B SaaS mid-market. The successful candidate will be responsible for defining and driving technology value-creation agendas across a portfolio of European mid-market B2B technology and SaaS businesses. This includes areas such as product architecture, scalability, technical debt, cloud and cost efficiency, security, and data and AI enablement. The role also involves supporting technical diligence on new investments, building and managing a network of trusted third-party technology partners, and coaching and mentoring portfolio company CTOs and engineering leaders. The ideal candidate will have at least 15 years of experience in a senior technology role, with a proven track record of delivering measurable value in a private-equity or operating-partner context, and deep expertise in modern SaaS architecture, cloud, data platforms, and applied AI. Candidates for the Portfolio CTO position at the company should possess an investor mindset, the ability to influence without authority, and a strong, active external network. The role requires a commercial focus, the ability to articulate the impact of technology on financial outcomes, and a preference for breadth over depth in problem-solving. The CTO will be expected to work across multiple companies, geographies, and cultures, and experience in other European languages is preferred. Key competencies include the ability to work through others, influence decision-makers, and maintain a disciplined focus on value creation. The role is not for a single-company CTO but for a trusted advisor who can prioritize where senior technology leadership drives the most enterprise value across the portfolio.
