Assistant General Counsel

The Company is in search of an Assistant General Counsel to join their team. The successful candidate will be a key player in supporting the company's commercial, product, and regulatory legal needs. This role is pivotal in providing practical, business-oriented legal advice and will involve close collaboration with various internal teams, including sales, product, and finance. Key responsibilities for the Assistant General Counsel include drafting, reviewing, and negotiating a variety of commercial agreements, advising on legal and compliance matters, and supporting initiatives related to privacy, data security, and information governance. The role also encompasses partnering with product and engineering teams on legal issues related to data use, analytics, AI, and platform functionality, as well as assisting with corporate governance, internal policies, and dispute resolution. The ideal candidate for this position at the company will have a J.D. from an accredited law school, be admitted to practice in at least one U.S. jurisdiction, and have a minimum of 2 years' of relevant legal experience. Experience in drafting and negotiating commercial agreements, functional knowledge of HIPAA, data privacy, and healthcare regulatory frameworks, and strong communication skills are essential. A collaborative, solutions-focused mindset is highly valued, and experience in Intellectual Property (IP) management is a plus. The role requires the ability to work independently while also being an effective team player in a cross-functional environment.
