Chief Financial Officer (CFO)

The Company is seeking a Chief Financial Officer to provide strategic leadership in financial management, ensuring long-term sustainability and alignment with educational priorities. The successful candidate will be responsible for budgeting, forecasting, and presenting clear financial information to the Executive, Board, and committees. This role also involves overseeing financial systems, controls, procurement, and compliance with regulatory frameworks. The CFO will have a key role in shaping the Trust's strategic plan and will be expected to lead on HR and payroll oversight, as well as risk management, audit, and assurance processes. Applicants for the Chief Financial Officer position at the company should have a strong background in senior financial leadership, ideally within a complex, multi-site not-for-profit or public sector organization. A proven track record in strategic financial planning, budget management, and statutory reporting is essential. The role requires experience in leading and developing professional finance and/or HR teams, with a strong understanding of governance, risk management, and value-for-money principles. While experience in the education sector is desirable, it is not essential. The CFO will be a key member of the Executive Team, contributing to the mission of creating excellence in education and the values of ambition, integrity, and leading for legacy.
