Chief Executive Officer (CEO)

The Company is seeking a Chief Executive Officer to lead its philanthropic efforts in the Lake Tahoe region. The successful candidate will be a visible and energetic community leader, responsible for raising the organization's profile, growing philanthropic resources, and deepening its impact. This role requires a natural connector with the ability to engage a diverse range of stakeholders, from high-profile donors to local nonprofit leaders and residents. The CEO will be the foundation's most visible ambassador, sharing inspiring stories and fostering relationships to support the mission of enhancing and preserving the quality of life in the Tahoe community. Key responsibilities for the CEO include navigating a complex region, building trusted relationships with civic leaders and public agencies, and leading the next stage of grantmaking with a focus on strategic, relationship-based practices. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record in fundraising, donor development, and senior leadership, with a strong understanding of financial management and nonprofit governance. They should be politically savvy, discreet, and committed to the foundation's mission. Experience in community philanthropy is valuable, and a background in the Tahoe region or similar mountain, resort, or seasonal communities is a strong asset.
