Executive Director, Translational Medicine & Pediatric Planning Greater San Diego, CA Area

The Company is seeking an Executive Director for Translational Medicine and Pediatric Planning. The successful candidate will be responsible for leading the integrated translational and pediatric development strategy across the portfolio, with a focus on connecting various scientific and clinical factors to decisions on development progression, particularly in the pediatric population. This role requires a strong background in clinical research or drug development, with a preference for experience in immunology, oncology, hematology, rare diseases, or gastroenterology. The Executive Director will work closely with cross-functional teams to develop and execute pediatric study and investigation plans, and will be accountable for pediatric regulatory commitments and associated clinical studies. Candidates for this position should have an advanced degree in a relevant discipline, with a preference for a medical degree, and at least 12 years of experience in the field, including a minimum of 5 years in a leadership role. The ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of pediatric drug development requirements and incentives, as well as expertise in translational medicine and pediatric clinical pharmacology.
