The Company is seeking a Vice President of Operations in Training (VPO-IT) to join their team. The VPO-IT will work closely with the Vice President of Operations to enhance the employee experience in the Distribution Center and ensure a high level of service to customers. This role is pivotal in the development of future VPOs, as the successful candidate will be groomed to lead all key operational functions and drive a culture of continuous improvement. Responsibilities include executing and leading market plans, fostering a safety culture, driving operational and financial results, and supporting the VPO in building an engaging work environment. The VPO-IT must be a trusted supply chain leader, capable of influencing and challenging at all levels, and must embody the core values of the company. Candidates for the VPO-IT position should have a minimum of 9 years' of operations experience in warehouse and/or transportation, with at least 5 years' in a management role. The ideal candidate will have a background that includes experience across multiple roles, functions, or companies, and a proven track record of leading organizational change. Essential skills include business acumen, change leadership, financial analysis, and the ability to influence and communicate effectively. A Bachelor's degree in a related field is preferred, and experience in a distribution environment, with knowledge of D.O.T. regulations, labor relations, and safety standards, is a plus. The role requires a candidate with a strong work ethic, the ability to manage in a union environment, and a commitment to food safety and customer-centric operations.
