The Company is seeking a Chief Technology Officer (CTO) to join its founding team and take on a pivotal role in the development of a Large Engineering Model (LEM) for AI in engineering. The CTO will be responsible for co-owning the neural-network surrogate modeling pipeline, with a focus on extending it from solid and structural mechanics to a more general engineering-physics foundation model. This includes scaling the 3D simulation dataset and physics-informed training infrastructure. The successful candidate will also provide technical leadership, making key decisions in architecture, ML engineering, and data pipelines, and will be instrumental in turning early industry discussions into validated industrial pilots by ensuring the model is production-ready. Core requirements for the CTO position at the company include a strong machine learning background, ideally with experience in graph neural networks, surrogate modeling, or physics-informed ML, and a comfort level with finite element simulation data and engineering/physics domain concepts. Experience in software and ML engineering, particularly in taking a research pipeline to a scalable, production-ready product, is especially valuable. The role also involves supporting fundraising efforts and strategic introductions, so a credible technical narrative and roadmap are essential. The company is looking for a partner to build the business with, and as such, the CTO should be prepared to work closely with the founder in driving the technical and engineering aspects of the company forward.
