Head of Mathematics

The Company is seeking a Head of Mathematics to join their team. The successful candidate will be responsible for curriculum leadership, ensuring the delivery of a rigorous Mathematics curriculum that is in line with Cambridge standards. This includes overseeing the smooth progression of students from lower secondary to IGCSE and A-Levels. The role also involves academic performance and data tracking, with a focus on monitoring, analyzing, and optimizing student attainment across all year groups. The Head of Mathematics will be expected to implement targeted interventions, extension clinics, and super-curricular activities to support student learning. Applicants must have a Bachelor’s degree in Mathematics, Pure/Applied Mathematics, or a related quantitative discipline, as well as a PGCE, QTS, Master of Education, or an equivalent state-certified teaching license. A minimum of 5 years' of secondary Mathematics teaching experience is required, with a proven track record of teaching Cambridge IGCSE and A-Level Mathematics/Further Mathematics with high A*/A pass rates. The role also involves pedagogical supervision, team management, and guiding Sixth Form students in A-Level Mathematics/Further Mathematics, particularly in preparation for top global universities. The Head of Mathematics will be responsible for resource and exam management, including departmental budgets, internal assessments, and external examination entries and moderation with Cambridge Assessment International Education.
