Chief Financial Officer (CFO)
About the Role
Greater Southampton, United Kingdom Area (Hybrid)(Wilton, United Kingdom)
The Company is in search of a Chief Financial Officer (CFO) to join its Executive Leadership Team. The CFO will be a key player in the strategic development of the organization, serving as a trusted adviser to the CEO and Trustees. This role goes beyond traditional finance responsibilities, as the successful candidate will be instrumental in shaping the Trust's financial and stewardship strategy, ensuring the highest standards of financial governance, and making a significant impact on the educational experience of children and young people. The ideal CFO will be a values-driven leader with a professional accountancy qualification, significant senior financial leadership experience, and a strong background in strategic planning, budgeting, and financial governance. Applicants for the CFO position at the company should be prepared to bring a collaborative leadership style, the ability to develop high-performing teams, and a commitment to the Trust's Christian vision and inclusive ethos. While experience in the education sector is valuable, it is not essential. What is most important is the candidate's ability to provide clear, independent, and challenging financial advice, and to use their financial leadership to improve opportunities and outcomes for children. The role requires a candidate with the confidence to make a difference, the ability to turn complex financial information into strategic advice, and a commitment to the values of the organization. The CFO will play a pivotal role in the Trust's development, modernizing financial systems, and processes, and helping to secure a sustainable future for the schools within the Trust.
