The Company is seeking an Interim Deputy Vice Chancellor (DVC) to play a pivotal role in the delivery of its strategic goals. The successful candidate will be responsible for driving the existing plan to enhance student experience and associated metrics, with a focus on minimizing TEF risk. This includes overseeing the improvement of NSS and other institutional metrics, supporting senior academic leaders in meeting KPIs, and embedding a market-relevant academic offer. The role also involves maintaining strong oversight of academic quality and performance, as well as progressing the development of international partnerships. The Interim DVC will be a visible and credible leader, both within the institution and in external engagements, and will work closely with the University Executive Team to ensure the success of the BU2035 strategy. Applicants for the Interim DVC position at the company should have a background as an experienced DVC or institutional-level PVC, with a strong focus on education and student experience. Essential criteria include a proven track record of measurable improvement in student experience and academic quality, as well as expertise in learning and teaching and curriculum innovation. The ideal candidate will have a successful history of leading change and performance improvement in a complex university setting, and the ability to combine collegiate leadership with a strong external presence. While not mandatory, PFHEA and/or NTF status would be advantageous. The role requires a leader who can provide constructive challenge, and support the institution's partnership agenda, and who is committed to the values and goals of the company.
