Interim Executive Director, Emergency Department

The Company is in need of an Interim Executive Director for its Emergency Department. The successful candidate will be responsible for providing interim leadership to ensure the safe, efficient, and patient-centered operation of the department. This includes supporting clinical quality, operational performance, and regulatory compliance. The Interim Director will also lead and support the nursing and interdisciplinary team, focusing on staffing practices, education, and engagement. Addressing quality and regulatory priorities, and partnering with stakeholders to improve patient flow and experience, are key aspects of the role. Applicants for the Interim Executive Director position must have a Bachelor’s degree, an active RN license, and strong preference for TNCC certification. The role requires a leader with an energetic and communicative style, strong expertise in emergency department operations, and knowledge of healthcare regulations. Experience in a unionized environment is also necessary. The ideal candidate will be available to start within 2-3 weeks of acceptance and should be prepared to make a meaningful impact in a short period.
