Greater Sydney, Australia Area (Hybrid)
The Company is seeking a Vice President for Loan Transactions and Commercial Risk Management. The successful candidate will be responsible for supporting complex loan transactions from inception to execution, with a focus on acquisition finance and structured deals. This role requires the ability to coordinate deal teams across multiple jurisdictions, structure mandates, draft term sheets, and oversee the entire loan documentation process. The Vice President will also be expected to engage directly with clients and external legal advisors, ensure compliance with regulatory requirements, and provide comprehensive commercial risk management for underwritten and syndicated loans. A proactive and collaborative approach is essential to drive successful outcomes for clients while upholding the highest standards of risk management. Applicants for the Vice President position should have a substantial legal background, preferably with experience in top-tier law firms or significant in-house roles within major financial institutions in Asia. A minimum of 6 years' post-qualification experience, with at least 3 years' hands-on involvement in loan transactions, is required. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record in preparing and negotiating loan transaction documentation, as well as a deep understanding of regulatory frameworks in the Asia-Pacific region. Strong interpersonal skills, a results-driven mindset, and the ability to work effectively under pressure are essential. The role demands a commitment to compliance standards and the ability to integrate loans with bond offerings. Fluency in English is mandatory, and proficiency in additional Asian languages is advantageous for cross-border communication.
