Senior Vice President, Legal & Compliance, LP Communications Greater Tokyo, Japan Area

The Company is seeking a Senior Vice President for Legal and Compliance in LP Communications. The successful candidate will be responsible for legal and compliance matters related to marketing materials and communications prepared for various investor and distribution audiences. This includes the review of both Japanese and global materials, ensuring compliance with the company's global policies and procedures, as well as applicable Japanese requirements. The role involves close collaboration with the global Legal and Compliance team and various business and control functions. Specific duties include reviewing a wide range of marketing and fundraising materials, advising on the localization of global materials for the Japanese market, and supporting the review and localization of fund-specific disclosures. The candidate will also be involved in APAC marketing and distribution matters, preparing and delivering training, and taking a leadership role in the regional LP Comms team. Applicants for this role at the company should have a Bachelor’s degree and a minimum of 7 years' relevant legal, compliance, or regulatory experience, with a strong preference for those holding a JD and having in-house experience or experience with alternative investments. The role requires excellent written and spoken English and Japanese, strong analytical and problem-solving skills, and the ability to communicate effectively at all organizational levels. Proficiency in Microsoft applications is essential, and experience with technology solutions in a legal, compliance, or financial services environment is a plus. The candidate should be highly organized, able to prioritize workflow, and be prepared to take on a leadership role as the team continues to grow.
