Associate Vice President, Canadian Financial & Regulatory Reporting Greater Toronto, Canada Area

The Company is seeking a financial reporting professional to prepare, analyze, and submit financial reports in accordance with regulatory and statutory requirements. Responsibilities include supporting period-end close and consolidation, reviewing financial results and explaining variances, and providing senior management with metrics on key issues and remediation. The role also contributes to process and data-quality improvements, interprets policies and procedures, resolves complex reporting matters, and helps manage reporting processes. The successful candidate will exercise sound judgment, maintain effective controls, and escalate risks appropriately. Candidates should have at least five years of related experience, working knowledge of industry practices and standards, and strong problem-solving and communication skills. Financial services and project management experience are preferred, along with proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel, and the ability to collaborate across functions. A bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience is required. Relevant expertise includes accounting processes, financial controls, data analysis, regulatory reporting, and process design.
