The Company is seeking a Head of Unit for its Emergency Department. The successful candidate will be responsible for providing clinical leadership, and medical governance, and ensuring the safe and efficient operation of the department. This role involves leading service planning, quality improvement, workforce development, and clinical performance, in addition to continuing to provide direct clinical care. The Head of Unit will work closely with senior clinicians and the Executive Director of Medical Services to meet the strategic and operational needs of the department. Applicants for the Head of Unit position must be medical practitioners with appropriate specialist qualifications and experience in Emergency Medicine. The role requires demonstrated clinical leadership, medical governance, and team management experience, as well as strong communication, mentoring, and collaboration skills across multidisciplinary teams. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record in clinical governance, quality improvement, incident review, and performance monitoring, and the ability to lead service development, workforce planning, and evidence-based improvements in patient care. The position is part-time, with the possibility of additional clinical shifts, and is suited to individuals who are passionate about making a real difference in the lives of people in the region.
