General Counsel

The Company is seeking a General Counsel to lead its global Legal and Compliance function. This senior role is pivotal in setting the legal and compliance standards and priorities across EMEA and the Americas. The successful candidate will be responsible for building and managing a distributed legal team, owning the company's legal, regulatory, and governance posture, and leading the development of a public-market readiness strategy. Key responsibilities include advising on commercial contracts, intellectual property, and open-source licensing, as well as managing the global compliance program and overseeing litigation and regulatory engagement. The role demands a professional with a strong academic background, an active legal practice license, and substantial senior in-house experience in a global technology or software business. Applicants for the General Counsel position at the company should have a proven track record in leading a legal team, setting high-performance standards, and managing legal operations in a technology or software business. The role requires expertise in commercial technology contracts, open-source licensing, and experience in at least two of the following areas: data protection and privacy, IP and trademark, export controls and trade, or competition. The ideal candidate will have the confidence to engage in a dynamic work environment, excellent interpersonal skills, and the ability to work with a high level of accountability. While not mandatory, experience in IPOs, a technical background, and fluency in multiple jurisdictions are considered advantageous.
