The Company is seeking a Deputy Chief of Police to join their team. The successful candidate will play a pivotal role in supporting the Police Chief, providing leadership, and maintaining a strong presence both within the service and the community. Key responsibilities include overseeing operational and administrative areas, working closely with the Police Chief to ensure the delivery of essential policing services, and building strong relationships with the Police Board and key partners. The Deputy Chief will also serve as the designate in the absence of the Police Chief. This role requires a highly credible leader with significant senior police leadership experience, particularly in operations, human resources, and administration. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record of building trusted and effective relationships, both within the organization and with the community. Experience in collaborative work with First Nations communities is a significant asset. The Deputy Chief must embody integrity, personal resolve, strength of character, and a deep dedication to the sworn police members and civilian staff they serve.
