Virtual Chief Information Officer (CIO) Remote (anywhere in United States)

The Company is seeking a Virtual Chief Information Officer (vCIO) to advise clients on technology strategy and align IT investments with business objectives. Responsibilities include building technology roadmaps, budgets, and lifecycle plans; assessing infrastructure for risks and improvement opportunities; and presenting recommendations to executive stakeholders. The vCIO will coordinate with technical and cybersecurity teams to support implementation, strengthen security and compliance, and improve operational efficiency. The role also involves maintaining client technology documentation and identifying strategic services that deliver measurable business value. Candidates should have at least five years of IT experience, broad knowledge of infrastructure and technology lifecycle management, and client-facing experience advising stakeholders. Strong technical knowledge of Windows and macOS, servers, cloud infrastructure, networking, and business technology solutions is required. Excellent communication, analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills are essential, including the ability to explain technical concepts in business terms and manage multiple client relationships. Experience in a vCIO or advisory role, developing roadmaps and budgets, and using asset-management tools is preferred; relevant IT certifications or equivalent credentials are also valued.
