Chief Operating Officer (COO), Technical Services
About the Role
Remote (anywhere in Netherlands)
The Company is seeking a Chief Operating Officer (COO) for its technical services group, which is experiencing rapid growth through both acquisitions and organic expansion. The successful candidate will be tasked with the operational integration of new acquisitions, performance improvement, and the standardization of successful working methods across the group. This role is pivotal in converting commercial opportunities into profitable execution, with a focus on enhancing planning, work preparation, cost estimation, productivity, and procurement. The COO will be responsible for managing company and regional directors, and must be adept at clear management, business meeting rhythms, and follow-up on agreements. While central organization is not mandatory, the role requires a leader who can identify and implement common standards that contribute to quality, margins, and scalability, all while preserving the strengths of the individual companies. The ideal COO will have a background in installation technology, property maintenance, construction, or a related technical service environment, and should have a proven track record of managing multiple companies or branches with a results-oriented approach. Experience with private equity is a plus. The role demands a leader who is close to the companies, speaks the language of various stakeholders, and combines analytical sharpness with natural authority and practical execution power. The COO should be a trust-gaining individual who is committed to developing people and is not afraid to intervene when performance lags. This is an opportunity for a hands-on leader who can bring structure without stifling entrepreneurship, and who is ready to make a tangible impact on the group's development.
