Associate General Counsel, Patent Litigation

The Company is seeking an Associate General Counsel, Patent Litigation, to oversee worldwide litigation strategy and proceedings. The role includes advising on the enforcement of standard-essential patents and fair, reasonable, and non-discriminatory (FRAND) litigation strategies, as well as defending against global intellectual property, antitrust, commercial, and other claims. The successful candidate will direct external counsel, support legal proceedings involving the organization and its subsidiaries, and collaborate with finance and legal operations on litigation budgets. They will also work with licensing professionals on business and settlement negotiations with prospective licensees. Candidates should be qualified to practice law and hold a bachelor’s degree or equivalent and a law degree; a degree from a highly regarded law school is preferred. They must have experience as counsel in high-value patent enforcement litigation, including FRAND matters, and demonstrate effectiveness as a trial lawyer. Strong collaboration, relationship-building, executive presence, organization, and work ethic are essential.
