About the Role
Remote (anywhere in United Kingdom)
The Company is seeking a Chief Executive to lead its mission of providing exceptional, veteran-centered care and support. The successful candidate will be responsible for delivering the charity's strategy, with a focus on increasing impact and reach within the Armed Forces community. This includes the development of new, sustainable services and the evolution of the organization's care model to meet the changing needs of veterans and their families. The role demands a leader with a proven track record in a complex, multi-site, people-centered organization, strong financial and commercial acumen, and the ability to build influential partnerships. The Chief Executive will also be accountable for the quality, safety, and financial sustainability of the charity's operations, and must be an inclusive, visible, and values-led leader with a deep commitment to the dignity and well-being of those they serve. Candidates for the Chief Executive position at the company should have a successful record of leading a similar organization at a senior executive level, with experience in delivering ambitious strategy and transformation. Essential skills include being an authentic and visible leader, with a clear commitment to person-centered care, and the ability to balance long-term vision with operational detail. The role requires a leader who is strategic, evidence-led, and has excellent communication and relationship-building skills. While not mandatory, a strong understanding of regulated services and empathy with the Armed Forces community are desirable. The Chief Executive will work closely with the Board of Governors, maintain high standards of governance, and ensure the charity's resources are used effectively to achieve the greatest impact for veterans and their families.
