Chief Technology Officer (CTO)

The Company is in search of a Chief Technology Officer (CTO) with a focus on payments and fintech. This hands-on technology leadership role is pivotal in leading the technology strategy, engineering organization, and the evolution of a sophisticated payments platform. The CTO will be responsible for owning the technology vision and architecture, leading payments infrastructure and integrations, providing technical leadership across critical payment functions, and driving the evolution of an API-first payments platform. Additionally, the role involves ensuring platform reliability, security, and operational resilience, as well as leading and developing high-performing engineering and technical teams. The ideal candidate will have a background that includes 10+ years of progressive technology and engineering leadership, with a strong emphasis on deep payments expertise and experience in high-volume payment processing and various payment integrations. The successful CTO at the company will be a strategic thinker with a strong bias toward execution, capable of operating effectively in a fast-moving payments environment. They must be comfortable with a wide range of responsibilities, from architecture and engineering discussions to security, compliance, and executive-level decision-making. The role requires a leader who can challenge architecture, evaluate engineering trade-offs, and make informed decisions, all while maintaining a focus on building and operating reliable, scalable payments technology. The CTO will also be expected to partner closely with various teams, including product, operations, risk, compliance, and commercial leadership, to ensure that technology investments align with customer needs and business objectives. A practical data and AI strategy, as well as a proven track record in talent development, budgets, and executive communication, are also key aspects of the ideal candidate's background.
