Head of People Operations Remote (anywhere in United States)

The Company is seeking a Head of People Operations to lead people strategy and operations across a growing organization. Responsibilities span the employee lifecycle, including workforce planning, recruiting leadership, onboarding, employee relations, offboarding, and HR systems. The role will oversee engagement, performance management, career development, training, succession planning, and initiatives that strengthen culture and retention. Working closely with executives and business leaders, the Head of People Operations will build consistent, inclusive, data-informed practices while navigating legal, regulatory, and organizational needs. Candidates should have experience leading and scaling people operations in a fast-growing organization and building high-performing, mission-driven workplace cultures. Relevant qualifications include recruiting design and technology professionals, supporting remote teams, knowledge of labor law, and the ability to balance strategic planning with hands-on execution. Strong judgment, interpersonal and communication skills, analytical ability, organization, and comfort with HR information systems and applicant tracking tools are essential. Experience with a comparable HR system or in government contracting, consulting, or professional services is an advantage.
