Vice President, Data Security Engineering

The Company is in search of a Vice President for Data Security Engineering. The successful candidate will be a senior leader in the field of Cyber Security Engineering, responsible for driving the design, implementation, and continuous enhancement of enterprise data security capabilities. This pivotal role involves close collaboration with technology and business stakeholders to ensure that data security platforms are scalable and aligned with business priorities and risk appetite. Key responsibilities include assessing and improving security architecture, translating business and risk requirements into secure technology solutions, and leading the implementation of data security platforms and controls. The role also demands a focus on integrated security operating models, frameworks, and documentation to support sustainable operations. Applicants must have a minimum of 10 years of technology experience, with at least 7 years in cyber or information security roles, and a strong background in enterprise data security and data protection. Experience in financial services, asset management, or similarly complex regulated environments is preferred. The ideal candidate will have a solid understanding of cloud security and data protection across major cloud platforms, as well as a strong engineering mindset with scripting or programming capability and API integration experience. Familiarity with adjacent security domains such as SIEM, incident response, threat intelligence, and endpoint protection is also required. Professional certifications such as CISSP, CISM, or equivalent are advantageous. The role demands a trusted subject-matter expert who can provide technical leadership across data protection initiatives in on-premise, hybrid, and cloud environments.
