The Company is seeking a Chief Development Officer (CDO) to lead the philanthropic strategy that underpins its mission and growth. The CDO will be a senior executive with a dynamic and strategic approach, responsible for shaping and driving the organization's fundraising efforts. This role is pivotal in the company's current phase of expansion, where the focus is on elevating national presence and deepening impact. The successful candidate will be a core member of the executive team, working closely with the Board of Directors to diversify and grow revenue across various funding sources. The CDO will also be instrumental in fostering a culture of philanthropy, engaging with major donors, and ensuring that the organization's values and commitments are reflected in all development activities. Applicants for the CDO position at the company should have a minimum of 15 years' of development leadership experience, with a proven track record in securing significant philanthropic investments. The role requires a leader with a strong connection to the mission, capable of translating the organization's work into compelling narratives that engage and inspire. The ideal candidate will have a background in fundraising, philanthropy, or revenue generation, and be adept at building and managing high-performing teams. Compassionate emotional intelligence, strategic thinking, and a commitment to the values of the organization are essential. A Bachelor's degree is required, with a preference for a graduate degree in a related field, and a history of fostering inclusive, diverse, and engaged teams.
