Associate Vice President, Surety Claims Greater Cincinnati, OH Area

The Company is seeking an Associate Vice President for Surety Claims. The successful candidate will be responsible for establishing and overseeing the Surety Claims department, ensuring compliance with claim handling principles, and managing all aspects of surety claims, including coverage, investigation, liability, damages, evaluation, resolution, and recovery. This role also involves setting and achieving subrogation and recovery goals, coaching and developing direct reports, and acting as the claims contact for reinsurance placements. The ideal candidate will have a college degree, with a J.D. preferred, and a minimum of 10 years of experience in the legal or surety profession, specifically in surety claims handling and litigation. Applicants for the Associate Vice President, Surety Claims position at the company should possess a comprehensive understanding of the surety industry, state and federal laws related to surety claims, and bond language/coverage.
