Vice President, Ag/Commercial Loan Officer

The Company is seeking a Vice President, Ag/Commercial Loan Officer to join their team. The successful candidate will be responsible for evaluating loan applications, confirming credit worthiness, and improving the loan application process by communicating additional requirements to applicants. This role also involves the rejection of loans with clear explanations of deficiencies, as well as the approval of loans and assisting customers with their inquiries. The ideal candidate for this position is expected to have a strong background in either agriculture or commercial lending, with a focus on business development and a proactive, entrepreneurial mindset. Applicants must have a minimum of 2 years experience as an Ag or Commercial Loan Officer, possess strong credit experience, and demonstrate leadership aspirations and qualities. The role requires the ability to expand loan portfolios, foster client relationships, and cross-sell bank products. Familiarity with the sales, commercial loan processing, and closing processes is essential, as is a working knowledge of the agricultural industry.
