Vice President, Principal Java Engineer

The Company is seeking a Principal Java Engineer at the Vice President level to join their dynamic team. The successful candidate will be responsible for designing, building, and evolving high-quality software products that address real business challenges on a global scale. This role demands a hands-on approach, with a focus on leveraging deep technical knowledge to drive the creation of robust software. The Principal Engineer will also be expected to mentor and guide other engineers, share technical expertise, and foster a culture of technical excellence within the team. Full-stack coding and implementation, adherence to best practice principles, and active contribution to agile delivery cycles are key aspects of the position. Applicants must have a minimum of 10 years of software engineering experience, with a strong command of Java, data structures, and object-oriented design principles. Proficiency in cloud-native development, container orchestration, and experience with tools such as Docker, Kubernetes, or OpenShift is essential. The role requires extensive experience in designing and building microservices and service-oriented architectures, including RESTful APIs and GraphQL implementations. The ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of Java frameworks like Spring Boot, Quarkus, Micronaut, or Vert.x, and practical experience with software engineering best practices, CI/CD pipeline tooling, and agile delivery frameworks. Beneficial skills include architecture experience in cloud environments, exposure to event-driven architecture patterns, and experience with front-end technologies and database concepts.
