Interim Executive Director of Housing

The Company is seeking an Interim Executive Director of Housing to provide strategic leadership and support the delivery of key housing priorities. The successful candidate will be responsible for leading the housing service, providing strategic direction, and ensuring the continued improvement and strong performance of the service. This role involves overseeing various aspects of housing, including repairs, maintenance, building safety, compliance, and major works, and requires the ability to build and maintain strong relationships with members, stakeholders, and external partners. Candidates for this interim executive director position should have executive-level experience, preferably within a local authority housing service, and a strong background in housing management and transformation. Experience in working with regulators and a proven track record of delivering service improvement are essential. The role also demands the ability to lead complex services, build strong stakeholder relationships, and possess strong political awareness with experience in working with Members. The Interim Executive Director will be expected to lead and support a senior management team through a period of change and ensure effective service delivery for residents.
